Decentering Whiteness is a reflective journal designed for white readers committed to dismantling the system they have inherited and often unconsciously upheld. Through in-depth prompts, practical exercises, and daily affirmations, this journal guides you to question assumptions, confront internalized patterns, and resist complicity in whiteness as the default. Instead of offering easy comfort, these pages invite you into discomfort that produces growth. You will explore how whiteness has shaped history, language, beauty, community, and your own choices—and what it means to decenter it in your daily life. This is not a workbook about guilt or shame. It is a practice of accountability, humility, and commitment. By the end, you will have not only imagined a future where whiteness is no longer the center but also pledged to participate in building it. The work begins here, and it continues with you.
I am just getting in to the exercises, but can tell that this is well thought out. The buying experience was great! Tracking was provided and the book arrived in perfect condition. Thank you for this wonderful resource ❤️

I expected to feel uncomfortable going through this book, I did not expect to feel the relief I do from it. Having it be a work book that literally walks you through the process of the needed internal work was incredible, and while it was embarrassing to witness myself in a way I hadn't before I am appreciative for that clarity. Highly recommend, especially if you think you are already a "good ally".

This book is excellent. It calls for reflection and confronting truths about oneself that even people who are already doing the work will benefit from.
Thank you for writing such a transformative work. I have just skimmed the contents so far, and can see I am going to be deeply thinking and working through a lot of conditioning.
This guided journal is the perfect tool for anyone trying to overcome people-pleasing and learning to set boundaries. Each prompt is crafted in a way that encourages the user to think in incremental steps, starting small and building a logical foundation from the ground up, in a familiar bottom-up style I find very intuitive. The layout provides plenty of room to write down my thoughts, and the spiral-bound format makes it easy to work on without needing to sit at a table or desk. I am grateful to have discovered this author's tools to help me on my healing journey as I reconstruct myself and my life. This is the 4th journal I've purchased from this author. (⊙‿⊙✿)

Well thought out and extremely helpful. My husband and I purchased for each other as Christmas gifts and it is definitely one of our better gifts this year. Stay curious white people. We know nothing about decentering our whiteness. (And if you think you have no work to do, you are wrong)

This soft cover spiral bound version is a great addition to any white person who wishes to unpack their biases. My version arrived within 14 calendar days. There's many thought provoking prompts to guide you through your shadow work (that's what I call yet for me). The design gives you enough room to journal your thoughts, is plain and direct in tone while encouraging you to be
Sit with discomfort. Growth requires some growing pains. Ms. Bryant put together a wonderful journal that I intend to suggest to others. Thank you for this crucial resource, friend. (⊙‿⊙✿)

The author has managed to create a respectful, open conversation with me as a reader, while she presents a clear position in beautifully rigorous language.
This journal invites me to imagine a healed, whole future in which non-men exist fully and happily, without regard to men.
I bought "Decentering Whiteness- For White People" at the same time, because I KNOW that patriarchy, misgynoir, misogyny, and queer phobia are just faces of the beast of supremacism.
